Dr. Dean will give you specific instructions for the proper care of your pet after surgery. Additionally, you will be given written instructions outlining the care your pet needs after you have returned home. In most cases, any further treatment required can be done by your regular veterinarian, who is most familiar with the special needs of your pet. Following surgery, Dr. Dean will contact your veterinarian and provide a written summary of the care provided and suggestions for aftercare. |
In
many instances, your pet will be able to go home the same day as surgery.
Should your pet require an overnight stay, hospitalization will be discussed
with you at the time of examination. Animals requiring hospitalization
are housed in the Animal Emergency Center, and are under 24-hour care by
the veterinarian on duty.
